I remember the aluminum board was the rage and all 8 kids on our block had the latest models, the best brand and our little wooden boards went to the back of the closet or we simply made push carts using the wheels.

There was no Nintendo and Atari had just came out with there very first system and only the most spoiled kid on the block had one. We'd all go over to his house and pile in front of the  TV screen to play Bowling or Space Invaders.

But I tell you back then there was NOTHING and I mean nothing that came between us and our skateboards. Of course we mastered those boards and just about every trick we could think up. None of us were really good at it but we thought we were the BEST!

What we could have done with miniature handboards and fingerboards skateboards and mini skateparks with full bowls and trick ramps???!!!!  Only the Toy Gods know the answer to that question.

This looks like a lot of fun you guys. I received this email yesterday and have been in direct contact with the Associate Casting Producer. The show is legit and I wanted to let you all know about it because I know you are a bunch of freaks and just might want to be famous for it!

My name is Rachelle Mendez and I'm a casting producer with the TV show WIFE SWAP on ABC. I'm hoping to cast a family that loves horror on our show. I'm doing some research on horror and this is how I found your contact info.

I’m contacting you in hopes of discussing the possibility of working together to find a family who we can consider casting.

Wife Swap is a family show on ABC primetime. The premise is simple: two moms from two very different families get the opportunity to swap lives (but not bedrooms - everyone has their own!) for a week to experience what it's like to live a different lifestyle - and to see what they can teach each other about their own lifestyle!

We want to feature a family of long time horror fans! We encourage all families, the bolder and more adventurous the better, with 2 parents at home and school aged children (6-17) to apply immediately. The family can belong to any aspect of the horror community-as fans, collectors, writers, film makers-it really makes no difference, as long as the family is genuinely passionate about horror.  We will be attending the Chiller Convention on April 13-15 to meet families who attend that conference, but we are also interested in getting in touch with horror families across the US.

Maybe you know of a family or have a family yourself with made for TV personalities that you’d be willing to recommend. I would greatly appreciate you forwarding my information on to any of your family members, friends, and associates who might be interested in sharing their lives with us for a week!

In addition, each family that tapes an episode of Wife Swap receives an honorarium as compensation for their time.   Anyone who refers a family that appears on our program receives a finder's fee as a 'thank you" from us.

It will take some time to get everything changed and I will do my best to get it done as quickly as possible. So if you notice any dead links or issues please let me know. I'm going to upgrade the pages most visited first. Rather then stop the site altogether I figured this would be the best way to keep everything flowing smoothly.
